MildMonday_Number36 (9-28-09)

Lets just say if these tracks were women, they'd be extremely attractive, exotic women. And I know everyone here at MW loves beautiful women. So that basically means everyone here at MW would most definitely take any one of these tracks out on a date, and would like so much to take each one home and make sweet love to it. Beatport also has a very large selection of these "women". You just need to pay for em'. Haha, Do the right thing!

EssentialSunday~Number 27_ Paul Van Dyk's End of Summer Mix

Sitting at the top of the charts for over a decade, Matthias Paul has revolutionized the art of disc jockeying and production. Better known under his musical pseudonym Paul Van Dyk, the German born maestro has sold over 3 million albums worldwide; much to accomplish for the electronic music industry. Since his start breeding his creativity through forbidden Western radio and smuggled mixtapes across the Berlin Wall, Paul could be called the 'Cinderella Story' of modern dance music. Beginning in 1994 Paul released Seven Ways, a continuous mix album of trance music released on MFS Records and later on Deviant and Mute Records. Since then he has released a plethora of EPs, LPs, albums, and mixes which lead him to the great success he has become today. With that said, Paul now hosts Radio Fritz every Saturday at 20:00 GMT and during his latest gigs, he compiles DJ'ing and live performance by utilizing two 17" MacBook Pro laptops whilst using Mainstage Logic 8 Pro and Ableton Live software on both laptops and two MIDI keyboards which definitely confirms the level this man is at. And now without further adieu, a man not so new to the Essential Mix line up, we have Mr. Paul Van Dyk bringing us a quite uplifting end of summer mix that I believe everyone can enjoy.

MildMonday_Number33 (9-7-09)

With MildWild now being a year old, it's time we take our formal masks off and show you a bit more who we are. Rather then physically (not that you care what we look like anyway), we feel now that by writing as if we were talking to each other, you may start to feel like we're not just robots who churn out catchy ways to say things (you can only come up with so many ways to kindly say, "Good day, check out these tunes, go to Beatport and see what's up with the rest of their stuff"). So, without further ado...

What's up everyone, hope the weather is nice where you are cause it sure is too damn hot where we are. Freshly jumping into September we're getting our hands on some awesome shit and can't wait to show you guys what we have in store for you in the near future. Oh, we also have a new Facebook page for ourselves, so go check it out and befriend us why don't you. We won't stop telling you to cruise your browser over to Beatport or other Digital Download stores to scope the rest of what there is to offer from these folks, it's something we feel obliged to doing, so we're gonna.

Good day,

EssentialSunday~Number 25_ Creamfields Special with Yousef & Mark Knight

This smashing Essential Mix comes to you in the form of a live set hot from one of UK's most celebrated festivals. Creamfeild's 11th annual celebration included sets from Tiesto, David Guetta, the Swedish House Mafia, and the two artists featured in this mix; Yousef and Mark Knight. In the first hour, Yousef takes us on a journey through South American minimal, giant tech tracks, and funkalicious boogie. An amazing hour of House music to say the least. Mark's set focusses on the opposite side of the house music spectrum, but is no less entertaining. He intro's with La Roux's mesmerizing vocals in Mark's own remix of 'In For The Kill,' and flys through some excellent big room tech, up-lifting vocals, and moving bass. If your an Essential Mix fan, you need to get up on this one!

Moan for the Møller

Trentemøller loves to create antipodes in his music; the contrast between vast echo chambers and sharp, direct, in your face sound bits are characteristic of his one of a kind sound. Coupled with outstanding production skills, he creates fascinating song structures. Thanks to Trentemøller’s unique sound he has also been a much demanded remixer. Thanks to the special “Trentemøller twist” most of the remixes became huge hits in clubland. In 2006, his debut album, "The Last Resort", on Poker Flat gathered a big haul in many many reader polls and scored the #1 album of the year in many magazines.

Make em' Say Uhhh! Uhhhh! Ba-na-na-na!

I received a nice new amount of some fine workings by our good friend Brian Randall, more notably known as Bananana of Hollywood California, the 19 year old knob turning madman who's recently been churning out a cool sound with his familiar Electronica style and radical rythems. Aside from hammering away on the completion of his debut "Sunda EP", the fella's been putting it down properly for his hometown with some live shows that have proven to be genuine, fresh, and room destroying. Our last visit to the Los Angeles area graced us with being in attendance for a fine live show the lad put on, and he's sent us the live recording to post for the listening pleasure of all, a fine mix and quite diverse from his regular production style.

Bananana - Gauiwtar (Original Mix)

A mellow track with some great guitar sounds and some aural vibes slightly reminiscent of some Massive Attack remedies, a great easy listener

Bananana - I Tell Ya No Lies (Bananana Dub Mix)
Bananana gets down with a subtle and wobbling Dub version of 'I Tell Ya No Lies'

DJ Sét .6789
Mr Oizo - Steroids (Feat. Uffie)
Soulwax - E Talking
PUZIQe - Thomas (Original Mix)
Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat (Computer Club's 'Fat Eric' Remix)
D.I.M. - Airbus Baby (JFK Remix) (Bananana's WhatyouknowAboutThis Edit?)
Crookers - Sveglia (Oh Snap!! Booty Alarm Mix)
Mr Oizo - Pourriture 7
Alan Braxe - Addicted (Original Mix)

Avenue - Set Your Body Free (Crookers Remix)
AC Slater - Jack Got Jacked (Jack Beats Remix)

"Fundamental Knowledge"

The two men pictured above are Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. In 1992 when Gernot stumbled upon a live acid house show being put on by Szary, i'm sure he had no idea they would later form what was then known as Fundamental Knowledge; The electronic music band from Berlin. Upon fucking with a function on the Roland RE-201 Space Echo analog delay effects unit, the duo decided that the name Modeselektor would be better fitting, and so it shows. From, their first remix release in 1999 with Pfadfinderei (the Berlin based VJ & Design Collective), to teaming up with their still home label, Bpitch Control, these guys have really put in some work and turned an impressive amount of heads. Modeselektor fanatic and fellow music inspiration, Thom Yorke, has given the group appraisal in the recommending of songs and albums in reviews, and is also featured on the album 'Happy Birthday' in the song, "The White Flash". Other collaborations include Maximo Park of Bloc Party, Paul St. Hilaire, TTC, Puppetmastaz, Otto von Schirach, Siriusmo, and Apparat, whom they more regularly release work with under the name Moderat. As Modeselektor remains a MildWild favorite, we really do hope they become and stay one of yours.

Modeselektor - Hasir
Foreign sound is always wonderful, this track soothes!

Bjork - Dull Flame of Desire (Modelektor's Remix For Boys)
A great remix filled with all the great Modeselektor original sound!

Siriusmo - Wow (Modeselektor Edit)
Siriusmo is always putting out wonderful music, so when Modeselektor touches it you know it's gold!

Alter Ego - Fuckingham Palace (Modeselektor Remix)
