Quintessential Selection_Number1 (10-16-09)

Okay, first order of bizniss is to let you all know I will be canceling the minimal selections on tuesdays, and the tech selections on thursdays due to a lack of free time in my life. Instead, I will be mixing the Minimal and Tech Selections together for a friday night House music extravaganza! I hope you all enjoy reading and listening as much as I enjoy writing and promoting this music. Without further adue, I give you the first installment of the soon-to-be world famous:
"Quintessential Selection"
With my intro being said already I'll get right into the music. First section will be minimal, the second will be maximal. Every track will be something worth looking into so im going to keep the long, repetitive descriptions out of it for now. Just remember that all these songs are top notch, and all in top quality. Thats how we do it here.

Tech House Selection_Number4 (10-09-09)

Bassey, clanky, sweaty, chunked-up, chopped down, screwed, ripped, strapped, Tech jams. You know how its done here; NO B.S. Just real, good, technical house music. You can find all these tunes and millions others over at Beatport, so get on that. Oh and can you say '300,000'? We can't thank you enough for the support and love, hopefully you will continue to follow us as we make our climb to the half million mark!

word to it,
Ivan

Wasting no time with an intro track, this ones plain and simple. Heavy beats, and heavy bass; laden with strange hits, and croaking/cracking samples. Random whistles and voices here and there. Way crispy Tech.

Big, big track by Reshuffle here. A total of 10:00 play time but is in no way boring. This track takes you on a hard techno ride through huge breaks, builds, long rhythms of strange noises and synth stabs. Also note the great hi-hats.

I posted the Zulu Yankee remix of this track for WW, so if you enjoyed that, you gotta get this. Momma's boy goes over the top with south american voice and percussion samples, perfectly placed throughout this amazing track. High energy club, jazzy, groovy, Tech house.

Deep stuff to finish off this segment. Posh's repeating LFO'ed synth samples mesmerize you into a state of well being. Great stuff.

Minimal House Selection_Number4 (10-06-09)

The start of another week brings us to another outstanding Minimal Tech selection. A wide variety of sound here; from deep and mellow to quick and punchy. However, despite their difference in sound, all share the same excellent production and simple mechanics. Zygmunt was feelin a bit cheesy and he went ahead and threw in a bit for yah, so I know you'll enjoy that as well. Apart from that, have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you Friday.

Oh and, we have been getting quite a bit of awesome feedback from our satisfied viewers. Thanks for showin some love, we truly appreciate it

Truly,

Ivan

This one's a bit wild. Bouncy chopped vocal, soft synth with a groovy percussion. Some wild pitch shifting here and there, check it out now!

For me, this is the standout tune for the session today. Its reverberated percussion is so huge! Its memorizing drum line and experimental white noises are a perfect combination

A calming, simple, and deep track from Atomm. Dueling synth chords gently massage your ear drums while the percussion does its own thing

Not much needs to be said when it's Nick Curly, another high-quality house tune

*Hope Ivan doesn't mind me throwing in a bit of my two sense with this amazing deep tech collaboration I happened to stumble upon. Hope all are fully satisfied and bursting at the seams with all these incredible tracks!
~Zygmunt

Fergie, Reset Robot & Alan Fitzpatrick - Rattlesnake
Name says it all.

Tech House Selection_Number3 (10-02-09)

What's good everyone? Got some tunes to make any situation THAT much better, give em a quick look. Starting off with some outta control Funkagenda and Mark Knight, with a track called 'Flauta Magica'. It features amazing chanting voices and South American flute samples, a genius composition. Next up we're moving onto some DJ T & Ramon Tapia, both of whom are equally buttery. Lastly, we're gonna be ending with a deeper and more melodic tune from Burnski. Your gunna love all of them, I guarantee it. With how much great music we've been posting here, Beatport is getting a bit lonely, so go visit it.
Besides all this, drink and be merry for it is the weekend! See you next week with my track for the infamous, MildMonday! Oh and I thought Id leave you with a poem written by a genius..

~Ivan
Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again!
Such hiallrious visions clamber
Through the chaimbers of my brain.
Qaintest thoughts - queerest fancies,
Come to life and fade away.
What care I how time advances,
For I am drinking ale today!

-Edgar Allen Poe

Music:

A great South American feel to this one. Intense tribal chant like voices, with little flute sample putting this one over the top.. XL Tech house indeed

Minimal bass line, great shakers and bells of some sort. After a bit of grooving a chopped voice along with an eerie synth begining to dominate the track. Nice sounds to this one, a bit creepy too, just in time for Halloween

Deeper house here with Hermanez and Ramon Tapia. Big synth basses, amazing jazzy synth samples, the whole lot. A whole lot of background noise and bouncy hit and bubble samples, with the proper addition of some alien voices in the middle just to keep your attention. Really diggin' this!

Two sharp synth riffs on repeat through this track, rendering it to be quite the talented bit.
Burnski really does a lot with just these two samples, 'keepin it simple', just for us.
